Celebrating the start of the third season of Eurovision Memories, new authors have been appointed to bring a broader insight to what's going about Eurovision Memories and the Eurovision Song Contest. The new team is hereby presented:

HEAD JOURNALISTS

Britt Ashworth (Ireland/United Kingdom): Head of Delegation of Ireland, though a citizen of the United Kingdom, this 18-year-old Eurovision fan will be a head journalist of the team. In her hands are all the topics related to 18 countries of Eurovision: Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Israel, Latvia, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Norway, San Marino, Sweden, Switzerland and the United Kingdom. As you can see, she's more of a "Scandinavian/Western" type of girl when it comes to the contest.

Dago Lesmes (Armenia/Colombia): Part of Eurovision Memories since its first edition, the Head of Delegation of Armenia, is part of the journalists team as well. A 16-year-old young man from Colombia will be in charge of any news regarding 20 countries of Eurovision: Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Estonia, Georgia, Greece, Italy, Macedonia, Malta, Moldova, Montenegro, Russia, Serbia, Slovenia, Spain and Ukraine. As you can see, he's more of a "Balkans/Eastern" type of guy.

GUEST WRITERS

Florin Suciu (Romania): One of the administrators of the page (a.k.a. Webmasters) is also going to do certain appearances in the 'News' page with everything concerning Romania, both his home country, and his delegation in the Eurovision Memories Online Contest. In fact, he actually worked as a credited author for the Romanian pre-selection for Baku (2012). (We hope we can do it again for Malmö 2013, please like THIS page).

Tata Soesetyo (Indonesia/Latvia): This Indonesian girl will also act as a head journalist in the near future. Further information about her participation in the team will be released soon.

OTHER TOPICS

Other topics, like those concerning the inactive Eurovision countries (Andorra, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Czech Republic, Kosovo, Lebanon, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Monaco, Morocco, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Turkey) as well as other general topics (Venue, EuroClub, etc.) will be covered by any journalist when there's the need to do so.

WHAT'S COMING?

Besides many articles regarding the 2013 Eurovision Season (selections, national finals, preparations, etc.) there will be a series of projects that will be unveiled progressively. Five of them can be announced now, and each one will have one or two weekly articles.....

  • Stories of Eurovision: A quick brush on Eurovision history regarding unsuccesful attempts of participation, controversies and other did-you-know-it kind of things. Its articles will come out every Saturday.
  • Video of the Week: Since YouTube is now flooded with many Eurovision-related videos... Rankings, famous moments, national final performances (both amazing and amazingly terrible), this section will show the video of the week every Sunday.
  • We Miss Them!: A pre-Malmö special with the countries that will not participate in Malmö.... As far back as Luxembourg, and as recent as Turkey.
  • Weekly Review: A compilation of the events of each week will be released each Monday, letting you know what's new in the 2013 Eurovision Season.
  • Lyrics Parade: Sporadically, lyrics that are hard to get on the web (or untranslated lyrics) of both Eurovision and EM songs will be posted. We know many of you like to sing along, or understand what's being sung.

Let the Eurovision fun begin!
