Today, the EM organizer revealed that EM will no longer compete in the Online Music Extravaganza due to lack of interest from OME Team who did not change the rules for 2013. Artists such as: Loreen - Euphoria; Beyoncé - Halo; Evanescence - My immortal; Michel Teló - Ai se eu te pego; Carly Rae Jepsen - Call me maybe; Pink - Blow me will compete leaving no chances for talented European Artists that EM or any other Online contest discovered during the year.
"We're not planning to make a comeback unless the OME Team will change the rules for next year. We have nothing against International artists but we asked to NOT mix them with European Artists. They should create different groups for different regions of the world and not put everything in one pot"

These were: Eyþór Ingi Gunnlaugsson - Ég á Líf & Unnur Eggertsdóttir - Ég Syng! Both songs battled their way in the super-final. But, of course there could only be one winner, who was decided on televoting alone. The winner was, of course, Eyþór Ingi Gunnlaugsson , with his song "Ég á Líf"! You can listen to the Icelandic entry by clicking here! What do you think of ? Did Iceland pick a good entry for Eurovision 2013 or do you think there was a better song they should have picked? EEyþór Ingi Gunnlaugsson will compete in the Second Semi-Final on the 16th May 2013.
