As everyone probably noticed, there were some minor conflicts in the EM Administration Team but thankfully everything got solved, even though we lost one FC member. A discussion started when Sweden submitted Loreen's new song and one member of the FC considered that the song was way to popular already and can't enter EM, though there's not a specific rule saying that this song should be banned.
Also rumors say that one FC member aggressively started a propaganda campaign to achieve another victory. We're sorry for all the drama we caused these days but we're constantly trying to do our best to keep these things out of the public eye. To make matters worse, one of our golden members (Morten Seest) left EM due to difficult schedule but he said that one day he might return if time permits him to do that. Also this week our new domain got inaugurated: www.eurovisionmemories.com and we want to thank our dearest friend, Emre Acar for his effort in helping us. As a reward he was offered a place in the Fairness Committee.

Today we started to make the official statistics of our community and we discovered that we have participants from 23 different countries from all over the world. Hopefully we'll get to celebrate this pretty soon, when the EM B-Day comes. Also we need to mention that we have over 40 active participants and our community is growing a lot since we started it in 2011. You can still submit for EM 31 Song Contest HERE. How do you think we can celebrate our 2nd anniversary this year? Leave your ideas below or send a private email to the webmaster here: [email protected] As we reported in our last article, we're preparing a big show to celebrate two amazing years of Eurovision Memories. The show will contain many interesting things and facts about EM but we need YOU to make it perfect. Since we're celebrating two years in June, we need You to record a 20 - 30 seconds clip saying "Happy B-day" and wishes to EM holding your country's flag in your hands. Send the clips to [email protected] so we can start working at the show as soon as possible. So lets start working people! That's right! Soon the Eurovision Memories Song Contest will have two years of existence, two years of memories and two years of friendship. We want to celebrate this in a special way pretty soon. Initially the contest was created on 21 June 2011 with the support of a former contest that sadly failed to be realized (The Eurovision Dream Song Contest) and the dutch webmaster handed Florin the details to make a new and a better contest. So that's how the EM Song Contest was born. In a sunny day with the hope that someone will luckily apply. After that, a month of submission period was released and we had Sweden, Czech Republic, Romania and Greece who applied. Soon after, Armenia and other 7 countries applied. The 1st edition of EM contained only 12 countries and the Grand Final was organized on 12 August 2011, the winner of course was Armenia with 82 points beating Sweden with only two points. Now EM has 44 participants, a Facebook Group and Page, a better website, many members and the most important thing: friendship. This is the most important thing that keeps us all together We interact, exchange opinions, fight but we're still supporting each other. Plans for a special show to celebrate two years of existence are developed now and we're hoping to release them soon. Stay tuned with us! EM Team
EM supports Gay Rights!
Yesterday a few conflicts started on the EM Group page when the Lithuanian representative started a fight against gay people and their rights. The FC Committee decided that he will be removed from the EM Community and banned forever. It's important to know that homophobic and hetero-phobic arguments are not allowed on the EM Facebook page and if you bring this in discussion you risk to be kicked out of EM. Also racism is not allowed and this can bring the same penalty. It's important to support each other, no matter of sexual orientation, religion and nationality. |
