![]() The Eurovision Memories Song Contest has reached its 45 edition with wonderful memories for people around the world. As we are a young team, we will always look for better changes that will increase the quality of this amazing contest. The Eurovision Memories Song Contest is probably the most transparent, fun and creative contest from all over the internet, that's the reason why we will let only the best and dedicated Eurovision fans to enter. New Sign Up Forms A special committee formed by the SEFC, FC and the Webmaster, introduced the brand new sign up form for new people that want to join our contest. The new submission form consists in two application: the 1st application contains the personal details of the fresh new participant and the information regarding his entry for the forthcoming EM edition. The 2nd application contains three important questions that will be used by the webmaster to determine if the new participant is suitable to enter or not the Eurovision Memories Song Contest. The Webmaster can also make the answers public so people can share their own thoughts about the possible new member. The old members will submit their entries using Form 2, which contains only the details of their entry for the forthcoming EM Edition. The controversial 'Judges choice' was replaced! Due to some complaints received from our participants, the special committee formed by the SEFC and FC came up with a new, innovative and fairer solution to choose the 11th entry from each Semifinal. The "Judges choice" consisted in the top 11 of the judges formed by the two Grand Finalists voting in each semifinal. Their no. 11 would automatically qualify in the Grand Final. Now, the 'Judges choice' was replaced by a new method of selection which consists in choosing the country which achieved the most votes from each country. For example, we have a semifinal of 20 countries. The top 10 qualified. Now we will look which country from the bottom 10 received the most votes from that Semifinal. Let's suppose that 16 people voted for Greece (the points don't matter at this phase) and Greece is placed 14th in the top, while for Slovenia which is placed 11th in the top, received votes from 12 people only. In this case, Greece will qualify. If two or three countries get the same amount of voters, we will pass the country which entered the top 9 of the voters, skipping 1 points, 2 points and so on. Philosophy: The more people that placed this qualifier in their top ten, the more likely this qualifier will get votes in the final. Real example: "EM40 Semifinal 1: Belarus (12th) and Monaco (14th) both received points from 11 countries (Iceland came 11th but only 8 countries voted for it). They then go into the tie break situation. By ignoring all 1 points, we look at how many countries placed it in their top 9. Monaco (two 1 point votes) came in the top 9 nine times and Belarus (one 1 point vote) came in the top 9 ten times. Belarus make the final." This new method will be applied starting with the forthcoming EM Edition. New rules to be revealed soon! The new rules created and published by the EM Supreme Committee will be revealed at the end of this month. We made important changes that will benefit the future organization of the Eurovision Memories Song Contest. The new rules will be published on the news page and also on the Rules Page. Stay tuned! When does EM 45 begin?! The Webmaster of the Eurovision Memories Song Contest is currently struggling with Erasmus preparations, so he cannot supervise and organize EM 45 this week. Also, our main administrator is on vacation. The good news is that people can submit and the FC will take care of the organization till the main team is back. The dates will be probably published at the end of this week!
